How we look after your details.

In plain words: what we collect, why we collect it, who sees it and what your rights are.

Who we are

The Thames Home Collective Ltd is the company responsible for your personal details (the "controller" in data protection law). We are registered in England and Wales, company number 17499489. You can reach us on 07413 997621 by phone, text or WhatsApp, or by email at hello@thameshomecollective.com.

What details we collect

We collect only what we need to reply to you and to look after your home.

  • When you get in touch: your name, phone number and what you tell us in your message.
  • When you become a client: your home address, how you would like us to access your home, details of your household and the help you need, and photos taken during our visits.
  • For billing: invoices, payments and related records.
  • For the work itself: details of the contractors and staff we arrange for you.

Where your details come from

Almost always from you, by WhatsApp, text, phone, email or in person at your home. We do not buy contact lists.

Why we use your details

We use your details to:

  • reply to your enquiry and arrange a home audit (so we can take steps you ask for before an agreement, and because it is in our interest to answer people who contact us);
  • provide the service you have agreed to, and invoice you for it (to carry out our agreement with you);
  • keep the records the law requires, such as accounting and tax records (a legal obligation).

We do not use your details for marketing by other companies, and we do not sell them.

Who we share them with

Only as far as we need to, to do what you have asked.

  • Contractors and tradespeople we arrange for you, who receive only what they need to do the job, such as the address and the work required.
  • Our accountant and professional advisers, and the accounting or invoicing software we use.
  • WhatsApp and phone networks, because that is how you contact us. WhatsApp has its own privacy policy.

If the law requires it, we may also have to share details with the authorities.

This website

This website does not use cookies or tracking tools, so there is no cookie banner. It has no contact form. When you tap WhatsApp, Call or Text, your phone opens the relevant app and your message goes straight to us, not through this site.

How long we keep your details

We keep your details only as long as we need them for the reasons above. Enquiries that do not become clients are not kept for longer than we need to reply to you. Accounting records are usually kept for six years because of tax rules. When we no longer need a detail, we delete it.

Keeping your details safe

We take care to protect your details and limit who can see them. If you ever think something has gone wrong, tell us straight away.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what details we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct anything that is wrong;
  • delete your details, where we do not need to keep them;
  • stop or limit how we use them;
  • pass your details to you or another company in a usable format, in some cases.

To ask, message or call us. If you are not happy with how we have handled your details, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would like the chance to put things right first.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we use your details, we will update this page and the date below.
